Although Cesare Casadei has agreed to join Leicester City, Lazio have emerged to try and snatch away the Chelsea talent, reports detail.

The 20-year-old Italian midfielder is expected to leave West London on a dry loan deal this summer, with the Blues keen for the former Inter man to continue his development with regular playing time.

Casadei was one of the stars of the show in the Under-20 World Cup this summer, scoring seven goals in seven games, being awarded both the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla and Libero, Casadei has given the green light to move to Enzo Maresca’s Leicester, who are pushing to return to the Premier League, but Lazio could complicate matters.

The Biancocelesti have emerged to open talks for the 20-year-old, hoping to convince him with both topflight football and the Champions League. Genoa had also been interested in the midfielder but have moved away to focus on other targets.

  1. Yes please, bring him in with option to buy that becomes obligation if we secure CL football or performance related (include both so it is easier to achieve it) and we can sign Rovella too this way.

    Lotito started working

  2. No chance of any transfer to Lazio, the lad wanted Chelsea and he will be first team squad after some game time this season
