Lazio are negotiating a deal with Chelsea for Callum Hudson-Odoi and are now leading the race for his signature, Fabrizio Romano highlights.

The Biancocelesti are on the hunt for a new winger and have considered a number of options over the last few weeks, from Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi to Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini.

Lazio have only completed one signing so far this summer, picking up striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City FC, despite the sale of star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €42m.

As highlighted by Romano, Lazio’s talks with Chelsea for Hudson-Odoi are progressing well and the winger is keen on the idea of making the move to Rome.

An unnamed Premier League side are interested in the 22-year-old as well and Fulham have also been linked with a move.

Hudson-Odoi only has a year left on his contract with Chelsea, so the deal would have to be an outright transfer, unless he signed a one-year extension to facilitate a loan move.
