Lazio’s injury crisis just gets worse ahead of the Rome derby, as Senad Lulic and Luciano Zauri suffered thigh strains.

Both players picked up the injuries during Sunday night’s 1-0 win against Fiorentina.

Today the medical staff announced Lulic has a second-degree left thigh strain and will be out for around three weeks.

The damage is only first degree for Zauri’s right leg, so he should return a little earlier.

Abdoullay Konko and Stefan Radu are both fighting to be fit in time for the derby, while Tommaso Rocchi is very unlikely to make it.

“Tommaso is recovering quickly from his thigh strain, but during this week we cannot think about pushing his comeback ahead of schedule,” said the chief medic.

Marius Stankevicius is dealing with an Achilles tendon issue and also not expected to be fit for the derby.
