Lazio and Sporting are in constant contact as the Biancocelesti work to sign Jovane Cabral on loan.

The Biancocelesti have not yet made a signing in this January transfer window, with their incoming market being blocked by their issues with the liquidity index, which means they need to sell players before they can make signings.

As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Lazio are looking to sign the 23-year-old Jovane on a loan deal with an €8m buy option attached. They are hoping to close out the departure of Vedat Muriqi to Mallorca soon, which would allow them to finalise this deal.

The Cape Verdean forward, who can play as a winger on either side or in the middle up front, has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 707 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided one assist. He has also missed a number of games through injury this campaign.
