Lazio will reportedly sell Filip Djordjevic in January, and Milan’s Gianluca Lapadula is among the candidates to replace him.

Djordjevic has failed to score in six Serie A appearances so far this season, and hasn’t hit double figures in either of his two previous injury-hit campaigns in the capital.

According to calciomercato.com, the Biancocelesti are ready to cut their losses in January, with Lyon believed to be interested.

That would leave the Aquile short up-front, so a replacement striker is being sought.

That would leave the Aquile short up-front, so a replacement striker is being sought.

Paul Georges Ntep of Rennes is thought to be the primary target, with the pacy forward believed to be open to a January move.

However, given he is more of a second-striker or winger, Ntep wouldn’t provide an alternative to Ciro Immobile, so enquiries have also been made about Lapadula.

The 26-year-old was Serie B top-scorer with Pescara last season, but had made just four appearances since moving to Milan, failing to score in any of them.

Lapadula was injured when he joined the Rossoneri, and it’s thought the club want to give him more time, but a loan switch to Lazio isn’t out of the question.
