Lazio and Hellas Verona have shaken hands on Mattia Zaccagni’s price tag, but the Biancocelesti are still negotiating with the player.

Zaccagni is expected to replace Joaquin Correa at the Stadio Olimpico as the Argentinean has joined Inter on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Zaccagni’s contract expires in June 2022 and he has already informed his club that he is not willing to extend his stay at the club.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lazio have reached an agreement with Verona on an €8m move plus €2m add-ons.

However, the Biancocelesti are still negotiating with the creative midfielder who has demanded a €2m-a-year deal, while Lazio offer €2m.

Lazio have a few hours to finalise the deal as the deadline day in Serie A ends today at 8 pm local time, 7 pm in the UK.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Verona are considering replacing Zaccagni with Sampdoria striker Gianluca Caprari.
