Italy and Lazio striker Ciro Immobile will miss the match against Juventus after the break with a calf injury, it’s reported.

The 31-year-old pulled out of the Italy squad on Tuesday and according to Il Corriere dello Sport he won’t be available when his club host Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico after the break.

Immobile underwent medical checks upon his return to Rome yesterday, but his recovery time is still unknown.

However, Maurizio Sarri has resigned himself to the fact that Immobile will miss the games against Juventus and Lokomotiv Moscow, Lazio’s first two games after the November break.

The former Juventus and Torino forward could remain out of action for 20-30 days, but his recovery time will be assessed with new medical checks that the striker will undergo over the last few hours.

According to the report, Immobile is likely to have sustained a calf strain.

Scorer of ten goals in 11 appearances in Serie A this season, Immobile is the best scorer in Italy’s top flight, followed by Hellas Verona‘s Giovanni Simeone, who has netted nine goals.
