Lazio fly out for Sampaoli

Lazio director Igli Tare reportedly flew out for more talks with Jorge Sampaoli and two Espanyol players.

According to La Repubblica, negotiations with the former Chile international manager will continue over the next few days.

Sampaoli flew to Spain for exploratory talks with Espanyol and Valencia, but is still undecided on his future.

Lazio sent directors Tare and Calveri out to Barcelona, where they will meet with Sampaoli this evening.

The offer on the table is believed to be just over €2m per season over a two-year contract.

However, there is an ulterior reason for the trip, as Lazio are also interested in Espanyol defender Enzo Roco – who Sampaoli worked with for Chile – and Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo.
