Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi has reportedly arrived in Spain to complete his transfer to Real Mallorca, on loan with option to buy for a total €13m.
It is expected to be a loan for six months at a cost of €1m, with an option to buy for a further €12m at the end of the loan period.
Real Mallorca will shoulder the full salary for Muriqi during his stay at the club.
He is reported to already be in Spain for the medical and to sign the contract ahead of tomorrow’s formal presentation to the media.
The 27-year-old Kosovo international was signed from Fenerbahce in September 2020 for €20m, but it’s safe to say he failed to make any impact at the Stadio Olimpico.
Muriqi scored only two goals in 49 competitive appearances in the Lazio jersey and curiously both of those were against Atalanta during the 2020-21 season in Serie A and the Coppa Italia quarter-final.
DONE! Vedat arrived in Mallorca. Contracts has been signed by both clubs and player. Official presentation, tomorrow. Lazio got 1m for the loan and will get another 12m if Mallorca decides for a permanent deal. He will be paid same like at Lazio, 42k a week. Good luck to Vedat.
