The Serie A side, however, claimed they correctly paid Sporting Braga.
“In relation to the news appeared on some websites and in the press concerning the player Pedro Neto, S.S. Lazio states that the financial transactions were carried out correctly,” the statement reads.
“Contrary to what was published, no payment was made to third parties (the club Sporting Lisbon) although erroneously mentioned in the notes to the balance sheet.”
