Lazio continue negotiations to bring Felipe Anderson back to the Stadio Olimpico from West Ham in a deal worth €9m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, new Aquile coach Maurizio Sarri wants the Brazilian in his squad for the 4-3-3 formation and there was another meeting with the player’s entourage yesterday.

Still only 28, the Brazilian spent five years at Lazio before his €38m sale to West Ham in 2018.

He failed to settle in London and spent this season on loan with FC Porto.

His contract with the Hammers only runs to June 2022, so Lazio are confident they can get the deal done for €9m.

The talks are still in progress, though, so nothing has been finalised, but Felipe Anderson would be overjoyed to come back to Lazio and to Serie A.

He made 177 competitive appearances in the Biancocelesti jersey over five seasons, scoring 34 goals and providing 39 assists in a variety of attacking roles.
