Lazio consider Pioli alternatives?

Lazio President Claudio Lotito is reportedly considering former Roma star Vincenzo Montella to replace Coach Stefano Pioli if results don’t improve.

The Biancocelesti have been humiliated twice so far this season, with a 4-0 defeat to Chievo and most recently a 5-0 loss to Napoli setting alarm bells ringing.

In addition, the Aquile failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages after a 3-1 aggregate loss to Bayer Leverkusen.

Il Messaggero has reported today that Lotito could soon begin to lose patience and is even considering Giallorossi hall of fame inductee Montella as a replacement.

The newspaper has also named Roberto Donadoni and Walter Mazzarri as potential options, with all three Coaches currently out of work.

Pioli’s first season in Rome was a huge success, as he guided the capital club to a third-place finish and the Coppa Italia final, playing attractive football along the way.
