Lazio are reportedly closing in on a deal worth almost €30m to sign Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.

Lazio have been busy negotiating for Kumbulla in recent days, and Corriere dello Sport claims those talks have proved fruitful.

As per the newspaper, the Aquile have agreed to pay €27-28m for the 20-year-old, although they could include two players – purported to be Riza Durmisi and Cristiano Lombardi – to reduce the fee owed to Verona.

As per the newspaper, the Aquile have agreed to pay €27-28m for the 20-year-old, although they could include two players – purported to be Riza Durmisi and Cristiano Lombardi – to reduce the fee owed to Verona.

The Albanian is expected to sign a five-year contract with Simone Inzaghi’s side, earning €1.5m a season.

He seems set to take over from Stefan Radu in Lazio’s back three, despite both Juventus and Inter also showing interest.
