Lazio are still in the hunt for Rayan Cherki after Olympique Lyonnais agreed a €15m plus €5m bonuses fee with Fulham, but the player turned it down.

The versatile forward can play behind the strikers, on the right wing or the left, and has been told to find a new club, as his contract in Lyon expires at the end of this season.

It was reported today by Sky Sports that Fulham had their proposal accepted by Lyon, worth €15m plus another €5m in add-ons.

Cherki does not want Fulham move

However, Footmercato, RMC Sport and others in France swiftly followed that up with news that Cherki had turned down the move, as he does not want to join Fulham.

It is reported that he refused to even meet with them to discuss personal terms.

This leaves the door open for Lazio to make a potential proposal before the transfer window is out.

Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the France international, who turned 21 last week.

A product of the Olympique Lyonnais youth academy, he has 141 senior appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and providing 25 assists.

  1. If Lotito gets him I will forget the Greenwood mess he made and even though he is not 10x better, he is something we need more than the Englishman.

Come on Lotito and next we need that stadium at Flaminio.

    Forza Lazio 🩵🤍🦅
