According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lazio have contacted Mattia Zaccagni to replace Joaquin Correa, but Filip Kostic remains a target for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Zaccagni sees his Hellas Verona contract expiring in June 2022, but he has already made clear to the club that he will not sign a new deal.

He could replace Correa who has joined Inter for €30m plus bonuses.

Lazio director Igli Tare has reportedly contacted the player’s agents, although the Biancocelesti haven’t made a formal bid to Verona.

Zaccagni scored two goals in the Serie A opener against Sassuolo last weekend and Verona can sell him for €10m, but Lazio hope to lower his price tag.

Zaccagni would allow Maurizio Sarri to use a 4-3-1-2 formation, but Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic remains a target for the Biancocelesti.

The problem with Kostic is that he would fill the last spot for non-EU players, which is meant to be for Dimitrije Kamenovic. The 21-year-old has already signed his contract with Lazio, but it’s formally not yet a Biancocelesti player as the club hasn’t registered his contract.
