Lazio and Sassuolo have both set their sights on Empoli trequartista Nedim Bajrami, who has been one of the stars of the Tuscan side’s season so far.

The 22-year-old Albanian forward has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 20 appearances across all competitions, including goals against Milan before Christmas and Lazio yesterday afternoon.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, both the Biancocelesti and Sassuolo are interested in acquiring the 22-year-old Bajrami in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Neroverdi coach Alessio Dionisi remembers the Albanian trequartista well from their time together last season, whilst Lazio have opened talks with the Tuscan club as they believe he’d be a perfect fit for coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

Bajrami is a quick and creative attacking midfielder, instrumental in Empoli’s attacking play. This season he has averaged 4.99 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes, the seventh best in the league ahead of Lorenzo Insigne, Nicolo Barella and Federico Chiesa.

My thoughts exactly! What the hell is wrong with these Seria A club owners?

Are they purposely trying to sabotage the Nazionale’s ability to effectively compete in future tournaments?
