Wilfried Gnonto seems destined to leave Leeds in January and Everton are angling for a move, but could face competition from Lazio and Roma.

The 19-year-old Italian winger joined the Whites last year and tried to find a move away in the summer following their relegation from the Premier League. Leeds refused to allow a move to Everton, and he was briefly cut from the squad before making amends.

Gnonto has appeared a little unsettled in the Championship this season and is keen to return to topflight football, either in the Premier League or Serie A. The teenager wants to be a part of the Italy squad for Euro 2024, assuming Luciano Spalletti’s side qualify.

As reported by TeamTalk, Everton are set to return for Gnonto in January and can afford to bring him to Merseyside, but Lazio and Roma are also keeping a close eye on the teenage winger.

Neither Italian side can likely afford to bring in the 19-year-old in the winter window but could offer him an escape route from the Championship next summer.
