Lazio have agreed to the terms of a deal for Matteo Guendouzi with Olympique Marseille and are now only a step away from welcoming the Frenchman, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Biancocelesti have already welcomed six players this summer, giving Maurizio Sarri some reinforcements to work with following their unexpected second place finish in Serie A last term, and they’ve been keen to complete more business.

Lazio have been negotiating a deal with Marseille for Guendouzi for a week, identifying him as a strong option to bolster Sarri’s midfield, and the 24-year-old is open to the move to Serie A following his experiences in the Premier League and Ligue 1.

As reported by Di Marzio, Lazio have agreed to pay Marseille around €13m plus €5m in add-ons for Guendouzi, with the bonuses being easier to achieve than the ones in their previous offer.

The Biancocelesti are now working on agreeing personal terms with the 24-year-old midfielder and the parties are confident that everything can be finalised in the coming days.

  1. Well done Lotito, get a defender that Sarri agrees to and nobody, I repeat nobody can say a word, this was a perfect market and Provedel isn’t “undermined” by a 36 year old washed up Lloris.

    Let’s go 🤍💙🦅

  2. Well, adding Samardzic and finding both Basic and Marcos Antonio new homes and then it’s perfect, otherwise we have some unwanted extra load. Momo Fares is also ‘surprlus’ I’d rather see Sana Fernandez get the odd chance coz he will learn and grow.

    Forza Lazio
