The Austrian spoke to FCInterNews. It about his six months in Milan.
“It’s just a little different [life in Italy]. But I also performed well with Inter,” Lazaro told the website.
“I love the club with all my heart, like the fans. The situation was difficult for me because of the injury I suffered, plus not speaking the language also contributed.
“Sometimes it’s just a matter of the mind. I needed to play more to gain confidence again.
“I felt very good against Bologna, Dortmund and at San Siro against Verona.”
Lazaro was asked if he still keeps in touch with any of his old teammates at the Nerazzurri.
“Of course, I am in contact with Antonio Conte and the lads. I watch every game and talk to them about it. Especially with Romelu [Lukaku], who I have a great bond with.
“He is like an older brother to me.”
Lazaro didn’t rule out a return to Inter in the summer.
“Inter are amazing, a fantastic club. Wearing the shirt is a source of pride, btu it would not be fair to talk about my future now. I am focused on Necwcastle and I will give everything here.
“Then next summer we will see what happens.”
