Inter are the favourites to sign Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach and Valentino Lazaro, on loan at Torino, dropped a big hint that he could be coming to Italy.

The 25-year-old played in the World Cup Final for France against Argentina and picked up a silver medal in Qatar.

His contract with Borussia Monchengladbach only runs to June 2023, so a January exit is possible, but more likely he might leave in the summer as a free agent.

Thuram was born in Italy in August 1997, when his father Lilian was playing for Parma, and has been linked with clubs including Milan and Bayern Munich.

Inter remain the favourites after coming close to a deal over the summer and eagle-eyed fans spotted a curious message on Instagram from Inter-owned Lazaro, who is currently on loan at Torino.

“Proud of you bro! Ci vediamo presto.”

He wrote the first part in English, but the second in Italian, which some saw as a hint he is heading towards Italy.

Even more intriguing is what ‘ci vediamo presto’ means: We’ll see each other soon.

So he is good enough to be part of the French NT and get games in a World Cup but not good enough for Serie A? What kind of logic is this? As for Inter liking cheap players, any club would rather spend less than more, but Inter have had their fair share of expensive players historically from Ronaldo to Vieri to Lukaku to Barella to Hakimi etc.. don’t write bitter nonsense
