As Diego Laxalt’s agent affirms the left-back will only leave Milan on loan, Atalanta are now favourites to sign him with obligation to buy.

Ariel Krasouski met Milan chiefs at the club’s offices on Wednesday and appeared to suggest Laxalt was not ready to definitivel call time on his spell at San Siro.

“It was a very positive meeting, we’re trying to find the best solution for Diego and Milan,” he told reporters.

“We’re continuing to work in harmony with their directors. We’re talking to a few clubs, but there’s nothing concrete just yet. He’ll only go out on loan.”

However, Gianluca Di Marzio claims a meeting has been scheduled between Krasouski and Atalanta officials on Thursday, when a loan deal with obligation to buy could be closed.

Fiorentina are also keen on the 26-year-old, while Financial Fair Play would have prevented Olympique Marseille from making an offer.
