Lautaro Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano insists that his client is happy at Inter despite reports linking him with Manchester United and Barcelona.
The Argentinean striker extended his contract with the Nerazzurri in October but has failed to find the net in any game played in 2022 so far.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals in 33 appearances with the Serie A champions this term but has failed to find the net in the last 13 Champions League games, while his last league goal dates back to December 17.
Inter director Beppe Marotta has defended the striker, saying that his goal drought is just a ‘temporary moment’ and that both the coach and the team must support him.
Lautaro’s agent Alejandro Camano spoke to FcInternews.it to comment on his client’s form and transfer rumours linking him with Manchester United and Barcelona.
‘Barcelona were close to signing Vlahovic, Locatelli and Lautaro’
“Lautaro doesn’t think about himself, he only thinks about Inter,” said Camano.
“He wants to help and wants fans to be happy. Inter haven’t scored many goals lately, but it’s just a process and will return to scoring, that’s for sure.
“Lautaro wants Inter to win, he is not interested in personal success. We must remain calm because Lautaro is happy at Inter and is happy with Inter fans.”
The Argentina international was close to joining Barcelona in 2019, but his move to the Nou Camp collapsed mainly due to the COVID pandemic, which further affected the finances of the La Liga giants.

But are the fans happy with him? Or more importantly, the directors.
