Lautaro Martinez has every intention of staying with Inter and he reportedly turned down a recent approach from Barcelona.

The 24-year-old Argentinian forward had a good season under Simone Inzaghi this campaign, netting 21 goals in 35 Serie A appearances. Fans were unsure how well Lautaro would perform without Romelu Lukaku by his side, but the Argentinian proved his quality this season, rising to become one of the top forwards in Italy.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro does not want to leave Inter this summer and he’s made it clear both publicly and privately, putting him in a tough spot as the Nerazzurri may be forced to sell him in order to fund their other transfer market ventures.

The 24-year-old is doing everything he can to stay with the club, however, and recently turned down an approach from Barcelona in a show of loyalty.

Contracted to Inter until 2026, Lautaro has an estimated market value of around €70m and is wanted by a number of clubs in the Premier League, like Chelsea and Tottenham.

  1. 70m gets you Barella or Bastoni at the Inter Shopping Market. Lautaro is worth over 90m now, esp. this summer that is seeing so many clubs looking for strikers.
