Lautaro Martinez has reportedly reached an agreement with Inter and should sign the new deal after the international break.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Nerazzurri can focus on renewing with the Argentine now that the transfer window has closed.

The lengthy negotiations are, according to the newspaper, coming to an end and Lautaro is expected to sign a new deal worth €6m a season plus bonuses when he returns from international duty.

Lautaro has reportedly agreed to take out the €111m release clause from the previous deal signed in 2018.

The 24-year-old, who scored three times in six Copa America games when Argentina won the trophy this summer, prepares for the World Cup qualifiers this month, starting with another game against Brazil.

The centre-forward, who arrived at Inter from Racing Club, is then expected to sign the new deal upon his return to Milan and tie himself to the club until June 2025.

Lautaro has played 133 competitive games with the Nerazzurri, scoring 50 times in the process, helping the club win Serie A in 2020-21.
