Lautaro Martinez has reportedly rejected an offer worth around €240m from a Saudi Arabian club, having no intention of leaving Inter.
On Friday, reports emerged from Argentina suggesting that the 25-year-old striker had received a four-year contract offer from an unnamed Saudi side worth €60m net per season, a salary worth 10 times more than his current wages in the Lombardy capital.
Lautaro, who has three years left on his contract with Inter, has grown into a talismanic figure at the club and is expected to be named the new captain for the coming campaign.
Page three of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Lautaro turned down the lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, not wanting to leave Inter anytime soon.
Inter consider the 25-year-old unsellable and won’t listen to any offers below €150m, making him the central figure in the project.
Last season, Lautaro scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.
