Lautaro Martinez’s agent met with Inter directors today in a hotel to discuss the new contract and details are starting to emerge on a possible deal.

Alejandro Camano flew in to Milan this morning and was expected to meet with the club within 48 hours, but rather than visit the Inter headquarters, they rushed to hold their opening summit in a hotel room away from prying eyes.

According to multiple reports including Sky Sport Italia, it was just an opening discussion and more meetings are planned over the next few days.

FCInterNews.it maintain that the request is for €12m net per season, whereas Inter are hoping to reach €9m including bonuses.

It is a very big distance, but the same source also notes that Lautaro Martinez would be prepared to accept €10m with add-ons.

Lautaro Martinez does not want to leave Inter

When Suning were still at the helm, they had been close to a deal at €9m plus €1m in bonuses, but now that Oaktree have taken over, the situation needs to be renegotiated.

Suning lost control of the club when failing to repay the €395m including interest loan to Oaktree.

Crucially, Lautaro Martinez and Inter have no real desire to part company and his contract runs to June 2026, so there is time to get it resolved.

The only real interest in the Argentina international has come from Paris Saint-Germain.
