This is not only the first time they have started together for Inter, but also the first time they’ve played together, as until now Correa had always substituted Lautaro.

“We played together at international level a couple of times, had a few training sessions, so we do know each other,” Lautaro Martinez told DAZN.

The Nerazzurri were very unlucky in a 1-0 Champions League home defeat to Real Madrid, having wasted so many scoring opportunities and been denied by Thibaut Courtois saves.

“It’s just an issue of being more concentrated and determined, because we are creating the chances. When we create so many and don’t take them, as we did against Real Madrid, we end up paying the price for that.

“We need to make Bologna run today, make them chase the ball and make our chances count.”

Inter have said that Lautaro Martinez is expected to sign a new contract any day now and he assures the summer transfer gossip never affected him.

“Since the first day I arrived here, I have done what I have been asked to do. I am here to work, to win and to give my best for Inter.”
