Inter forward Lautaro Martinez said it was 'important' that the Nerazzurri won the Scudetto before travelling to face Juventus in the penultimate game.

All eyes were on the Argentine after the 3-1 win over Roma, as the 23-year-old reacted to being hauled off at the 77th minute.

The striker had replaced injured Alexis Sanchez after 36 minutes but was later substituted and reacted by shouting and throwing his shirt, while coach Antonio Conte told him off.

But assistant coach Cristian Stellini said it’s ‘all in the past’ straight after the final whistle and Lautaro continued to focus on travelling to Juventus in the penultimate game.

“They had been winning for nine years, so it was important to go there and play the game with the Scudetto already won,” Lautaro told Sky Sport Italia.

“They had been winning for nine years and we hadn’t won since 2011. We lost a Final last year, so we wanted to take something, and we did.

“We will go there with the 19th Scudetto in our pocket.”
