Former Italy striker Pierluigi Casiraghi admits he ‘doesn’t think’ Inter forwards Lautaro Martinez and Mauro Icardi can play together in a two.
Inter have won their last four games, with Lautaro opening his Nerazzurri account against Cagliari at the weekend, although the Argentine’s goal came without Icardi on the pitch.
“I have to be honest, I don’t think they can play together right now,” Casiraghi, who also played for Juventus and Lazio, told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Of course anything can happen, but I don’t think it’s a road that can be navigated on easily.
“Their characteristics could lead them to step on each other’s toes. It’ll be up to Spalletti to make sure that the two can coexist, while maintaining team balance.”
