“I know that I’ll stay at Racing until June, then after that we’ll make the best decision for me,” Martinez told TNT Sports.

“I promised to the President that I’d renew my contract and stay until half-way through the year. I promised to increase the release clause. Everything that I promised, I maintained.

“I will go to play where I feel most at ease. I have not signed a pre-contract agreement with anyone. There are many clubs showing interest, but my agent takes care of that.

“I have to remain concentrated on Racing, as I have enormous responsibility on my shoulders. I want to keep this club 100 per cent in my thoughts.”
