Messi, who will see his Barcelona contract expire this coming June, was linked with a move to Inter last summer.

“It was a big dream for me,” Lautaro admitted in an interview with Sportweek.

“It’s amazing to play with him, he is the best player in the world and I am lucky enough to play with him in the national team. He is an inspiration for young players.”

Lautaro’s Inter agreement runs out in 2023, but he hopes to extend his stay at the club soon.

“I am happy at Inter, Milan is a great city. My agent and the club are talking and I am calm. I only want to give everything for Inter, then we’ll reach an agreement.”

The Argentinean, will partner Romelu Lukaku in the Inter attack against Juventus on Sunday.

“I fell well with him, on and off the pitch. He is such a nice guy, he speaks eight languages and it’s important in a team like ours. He is so humble too, his history is similar to mine. We come from nothing, we understand each other.”
