After enjoying lengthy celebrations in the wake of Argentina’s World Cup triumph, Lautaro Martinez is ready to return to training for Inter and has reportedly clarified that he doesn’t want to leave.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentinian will be back in Italy on Friday, 30, 2022, but until that moment, he’ll be following a tight schedule which will include daily training sessions for five consecutive days, in order to be in shape for the first match of the year, on January 4, 2023, against Napoli.

Despite lifting what could be considered arguably the most important silverware in a player’s career, La Rosea adds that Lautaro is still fully motivated and willing to commit his future to Inter, as he’s loving his life in Milan and reportedly told club directors and staff members that he wants to stay.

The Biscione will host the Partenopei at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza when Serie A football resumes on January 4, 2023, and may have more chances to upset the current league leaders with a fit Lautaro in the team, as the striker has already scored four goals from eight Serie A games against the Azzurri.

Inter are currently 11 points behind Napoli, but should the Nerazzurri win the title this term, Lautaro would become the second Inter player after Marco Materazzi, to lift the Scudetto Cup immediately after the World Cup.
