Alejandro Camano, the agent of Inter star Lautaro Martinez, underlined the striker’s intentions to pen a new deal with the club.

The 26-year-old Argentinian forward, who was named captain this summer after Samir Handanovic’s departure, is the core figure in Simone Inzaghi’s squad and a key leader on the pitch.

Lautaro has already scored 10 goals and provided two assists in eight Serie A games this season, being the leading man for Inter as they work to break a two-year wait for the Scudetto.

Speaking to Sport Italia, Lautaro’s agent Camano discussed a new contract with Inter and if he expects everything to go smoothly.

“I hope so. We have a lot of hopes and expectations of finding an agreement with Inter that will allow Lautaro to be happy.”

Lautaro currently earns around €6m net per season plus add-ons, the second most in the squad behind Hakan Calhanoglu, who earns a salary of €6.5m net.

The 26-year-old is hoping to extend his deal with Inter to June 2028 with a wage bump, reflective of his star status and importance to the club.
