Alejandro Camano, the agent of Inter star Lautaro Martinez, confirmed that offers had arrived this summer but highlighted how his client ‘is happy’ with the Nerazzurri.

The 25-year-old Argentinian striker has grown into a symbolic figure for the Milanese club in recent years and was the star of their show last season, scoring 28 goals and providing 11 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.

In recent weeks, reports emerged detailing lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia for Lautaro, who promptly rejected them. Soon after, he was confirmed as the new Inter captain, showing his centrality to Simone Inzaghi’s project.

Speaking to fan site FcInter1908, agent Camano first the various offers that were sent to Lautaro this summer.

“Lautaro has scored many goals with Inter, won a Scudetto, won a World Cup. He’s done great things with the club and with the national team, these are not things that go unnoticed among the top clubs of Europe and in other markets.

“There were offers but Lauti did not want to listen, he is not one to put pressure on his club by making offers.

“Lautaro is happy at Inter, he is happy in Milan, he is about to become a father for the second time and his two children will be born in Milan, the city where he is growing up as a footballer and with his family.

“Inter have given him great recognition by making him captain. And he is very happy about that. Inter are continuing to develop their project and Lautaro certainly deserves a prominent place.”

He then touched on the idea of signing a new contract with the Nerazzurri.

“The relationship with Inter is excellent, we have to work together to give Lauti the recognition he deserves as a top world player.

“For now, the club has not called me, but I believe they will because we all want the best for a top player like Lautaro.

“Inter are making an important effort to renew the squad and they will also make an effort to enhance a top player like Lautaro. They will call us for sure.”

Since his arrival at Inter in 2018, Lautaro has scored 102 goals and provided 36 assists, consistently improving as the years go by. He was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2022 World Cup, but did not feature heavily in Qatar.
