Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to rotate his squad on Sunday against Lecce with Nicolò Barella, Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Sommer likely to start on the bench.
Inter reporter Pasquale Guarro reported the latest team news on Friday afternoon ahead of the Nerazzurri’s away game at Lecce on Sunday.
The journalist wrote on X, formerly Twitter that Sommer, Bastoni and Barella are expected to start on the bench at the Stadio Via Del Mare this coming weekend.
The Italian central midfielder will likely rest, so Davide Frattesi will probably get the nod in the middle of the park. At the same time, Bastoni should be replaced by Carlos Augusto in a three-man defence.
Guarro confirmed that Emil Audero is expected to start between the sticks against the Giallorossi. It had previously been reported that Sommer had a fever and didn’t train with his teammates on Friday.
Marcus Thuram, Juan Cuadrado and Francesco Acerbi won’t be available against Lecce due to injuries.
