Salernitana thought they had secured a deal to re-sign Verdi from Hellas Verona, but multiple reports in Italy claim the striker’s contract was not registered in time within the Lega Calcio so, at the moment, his late transfer has been cancelled.

It was due to technical issues, so Salernitana have lodged an appeal and still hope to welcome the player back at the club in the coming hours.

Fiorentina confirmed the signing of Sabiri from Sampdoria, but the Morocco international will remain on loan at Marassi until the end of the season.

Luca Pellegrini is back in Serie A, joining Lazio on a short-term deal from Juventus. The Italian defender ended his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he played 14 games in the first part of the campaign.
