Romelu Lukaku and Ciro Immobile are under pressure ahead of Saturday’s Rome derby and Tuttosport newspaper highlights that the imminent Stadio Olimpico meeting will be the ‘last call’ for the Roma and Lazio strikers.

Lukaku and Immobile will meet in a predictably tense Derby della Capitale on Saturday when both clubs from the capital will be looking to earn points for a European placement.

Thursday’s printed edition of Tuttosport newspaper on page 19 highlights that the upcoming clash will be a ‘last call’ for struggling striker Lukaku and Immobile, who have failed to meet expectations in Serie A this season.

Lukaku troubles at Roma

The Belgian forward has scored 10 times in league matches and only once in the latest nine outings. The Chelsea-owned striker scored 14 Serie A goals for Inter last season despite being out of action for four months due to an injury. He had bagged 48 Serie A goals in the previous two-year spell at the Stadio Meazza.

Tuttosport confirms Roma are unlikely to keep Luakaku beyond the summer due to Chelsea’s asking price and the striker’s high salary.

Immobile fails to impress at Lazio

Lazio captain Immobile is also facing an uncertain future at the Stadio Olimpico after a disappointing campaign that has seen him score only six times in Serie A, twice in the last four months.

Immobile had managed fewer Serie A goals only once in his career, back in 2012-13 in his first entire season in Italy’s top-flight with Genoa.

Several Saudi Pro League sides are still interested in the Italy international, and Lazio could agree to part company with the experienced forward after he rejected a move to Saudi Arabia less than a year ago.
