Davide Lanzafame is struggling for games at Catania, but he wants to continue his career with the Sicilian club.

The midfielder is co-owned with Palermo, the team he left in the summer as part of the deal that saw Matias Silvestre head to the Stadio Barbera.

“I want to play more, but I respect the decisions of boss Vincenzo Montella,” noted the 25-year-old.

“I’m happy here in this city and at this club. I hope that Catania decide to keep me. I’ve already spoken to the directors and told them that I’d like to stay.”

The wide midfielder grew up in the youth ranks of hometown club Juventus, but he’s struggled to settle after a variety of loan moves.

So far in his brief career, the former Italian Under-21 international has also played for Bari, Parma and Brescia.
