Sam Lammers seems set to join Genoa on loan from Atalanta, so Hellas Verona and Sampdoria are turning to Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

According to Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà, Lammers has finally made up his mind after weeks of uncertainty that he will accept the move to Genoa on loan.

The 24-year-old Dutch forward wants regular playing time and has been caught between Genoa and Verona all summer.

With Lammers apparently heading to Genoa, Verona must look elsewhere and Sky Sport Italia expert Gianluca Di Marzio suggests Hellas have asked for Scamacca on loan.

They face a great deal of competition from Sampdoria, which would be a curious move considering he spent last season on loan at their arch-rivals Genoa.

He scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 29 competitive games for Genoa last term.

The 22-year-old is owned by Sassuolo and had also been linked with Inter this summer, but the Neroverdi are only willing to let him go on loan if he’ll get consistent time on the pitch.
