LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in pursuing a deal with Fiorentina for former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat.

According to updates from TMW and Spanish outlet Relevo, Diego Simeone’s side have expressed an interest in picking up Amrabat in a low-cost deal, but there have not yet been any official contacts between the two clubs.
The 27-year-old is now into the final 12 months of his contract in Tuscany.
He had spent the 2023-24 season on loan in the Premier League with Manchester United, where he made 30 appearances across all competitions and picked up an FA Cup winners’ medal along the way.
However, United decided against activating the buy clause they negotiated with Fiorentina last summer, and so the Morocco international is set to return to Viola Park for pre-season training.
TMW add that Amrabat is expected to report back for training with Fiorentina under new coach Raffaele Palladino in two days’ time.
