The Bianconeri return to Champions League action tomorrow, welcoming the German champions to Turin for the first leg of their Last 16 tie.

“What are our chances? I’d say 50 per cent, Juventus are a great team. They had their problems at the start of the season, and have stabilised now, they’ve put together a long winning run.

“So it’ll be a very difficult game for us, but it already was when the draw was made.

“We have to try to win, last year they went to the final of the Champions League so this is one of the most difficult games we could have.”

Mario Mandzukic trained today, meaning he is likely to be available to face his old side, and Lahm is looking forward to renewing acquaintances.

“Of course we’re happy to see Mandzukic again, we had a very positive spell with him, we played the biggest games.

“When we celebrate our successes it’s always nice to be reunited with the people who shared in those successes, so I’ll be happy to see him again tomorrow.

“There’s great respect, of course, you always have to have great respect for your opponents but it’s even more important to have respect for a team which has put together a winning run, has some great qualities and one which has a great team spirit.

“They’re well organised on the pitch, and of course there are many players who can decide the game in Juventus’ favour.”
