“I know the goalkeeping tradition that made Fiorentina great,” the teenager told La Nazione.

“There’s a bit of pressure, but it’s a stimulus for me to do well. The fans already accepting me? It’s nice, but the season has yet to properly start.

“I’m happy that they appreciate me. Comparisons with Donnarumma? He’s done great things with Milan, but I’m me and he’s him. Each of us have their own qualities and defects.

“What do I think of the team? Fiorentina have historic tradition and are a great team. They have a very nice stadium and the fans are warm.

“I chose Fiorentina for that reason too. Pioli? He’s very demanding and he gives his best because he believes his players are the very best.

“Our objective? We want to do better than last season. Our rivalry with Juventus? They told me that this match is a spectacle in its own right.

“Cristiano Ronaldo? We’ll try to have the perfect game against them.”
