The goalkeeper only joined a year ago from Toulouse for €8m, but did not fully convince, so Bartlomiej Dragowski will take over as first choice.
“Alban told me a long time before the end of the season that he was not happy at Fiorentina for various reasons,” Rolland Lafont told Fiorentinanews.com.

“Alban told me a long time before the end of the season that he was not happy at Fiorentina for various reasons,” Rolland Lafont told Fiorentinanews.com.
“Then an interesting offer came along and Fiorentina did not oppose the transfer request. Fiorentina wanted initially to keep my son as the first choice and we knew that, but it was Alban who made a different decision, with all due respect for the club and fans.
“Alban will be the first choice goalkeeper at Nantes and it is effectively a loan for the next two years.”
It’s not clear yet whether Nantes have an option to buy or an obligation, but he should complete the move today.
