“I dream of saving a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo and seeing Fiorentina get the points against Juventus,” Lafont said.

“I need to be attentive though, because Juve aren’t just Ronaldo, there are a lot of other dangers for a goalkeeper.

“There’s [Miralem] Pjanic and his shots from outside the box, then the shots of [Paulo] Dybala and [Mario] Mandzukic.

“Juve can win the Scudetto and Coppa Italia double, but they’re not the only favourite in Europe.”

Lafont was also asked about which ‘keepers inspired him.

“My role models are [Hugo] Lloris and [Steve] Mandanda, then I have a weakness for [Manuel] Neuer and [Gigi] Buffon. Buffon is a legend of world football.”
