Jose Mourinho will be furious with referees again, as the lack of VAR in the Europa Conference League denied Roma two penalties against Bodo/Glimt.

The first incident occurred when the Norwegians were 1-0 up at the Stadio Olimpico.

Stephan El Shaarawy went to head a cross, but it was taken away from him by Brede Moe’s arm.

It would’ve been a penalty if VAR had been called upon, but there is no Video Assistant Referee in the Europa Conference League group phase.

The second happened when the Norwegians were 2-1 up.

Mourinho had already been protesting at referees and decisions that went against Roma in Serie A over the last few weeks.

He complained the officials showed a ‘lack of respect’ towards the Giallorossi and their supporters after the defeat to Juventus, feeling the Jordan Veretout penalty should’ve been retaken due to encroachment.

He then protested at the 2-1 home defeat to Milan, with penalty decisions at both ends causing controversy in the final stages.

  1. Look at the last two tweets, they still didn’t decide this teams’ name. One says Glimt(Scot) the other Bodo(Jacopo).

And they lost 6-1 to them to than draw after going down, twice, home, with the 1st team now. VAR or not, Mourinho is dead. He will try the oldest card, again: take the attention from how bad they are.

    That is what is.

  2. The article failed to mention that the last goal scored by Roma should have been annulled due to offside. This surly would have happened if VAR was used.
