Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has become the first player to win Serie A’s Player Of The Month Award three times in the same season, being given the award for March.

The 22-year-old Georgian winger has been the standout star of this Serie A season, scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assists across 23 games in his debut campaign in Italy.

Kvaratskhelia has already won the POTM award twice this season, back in August and February, and now has set a new record.

Lega Serie A announced today that Kvaratskhelia has won the league’s POTM award for March. In his three league games across the month, the Georgian scored two goals and provided one assist, continuing to look electric and unpredictable.

The 22-year-old will be handed the award before the kick-off of Napoli’s upcoming Serie A clash with Milan, scheduled for April 2.

EA Sports have also released a commemorative player card in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team for Kvaratskhelia.
