Khvicha Kvaratskhelia wants to repay the trust shown by Antonio Conte and Napoli, willing to sign a new long-term contract despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Parisian giants have heavily targeted the 23-year-old Georgian star for the last month following Kylian Mbappe’s departure, willing to pay over €100m to secure his signature and drawing up a contract worth €11m net per season plus add-ons.

Conte made it clear that Kvaratskhelia was a central part of his new Napoli project and was in close contact with the winger during his trip to Germany for the European Championship. Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis ruled out a transfer, uninterested in PSG’s offer.

Page eight of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Kvaratskhelia has been left impressed by Conte and is keen to start working with the experienced coach at Napoli, aware that he could take a significant step forward in his development.

The Georgian winger has already started preparing to return to squad training during his holiday and will return to the club next week.

Kvaratskhelia is waiting to sign a new contract with Napoli, who’ve offered a five-year deal starting at €5m net per season, rising to over €7m by the end of the deal. The winger and his agent Mamuka Jugeli have instead asked for a deal worth €8m net and containing a release clause.
