Napoli winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named Serie A Player of the Month for August by his peers after contributing three goals and an assist.
The 21-year-old Georgia international has been a sensation since moving to the Partenopei, as he got a goal and assist on his debut 5-2 victory away to Verona, then bagged a brace to beat Monza 4-0.
This Player of the Month accolade was granted to him by the AIC, the Italian Players’ Association, or the Italian version of the PFA.
It notes that not only did he score three goals, but they were with his right foot, left foot and his head.
Kvaratskhelia came out on top, followed by Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Milan defender Pierre Kalulu and Torino striker Nemanja Radonjic.
Two stunning performances, followed by two no-shows.
Stop crying Milan fan. Leao had 3 no shows.
Last year he had 15 no show in the first 31 games and still became the MVP of the season m.
and Kvara started on the bench in the second no show due to squad rotation
