After Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent confirmed there has been a proposal from Paris Saint-Germain, reports are growing he wants out of Napoli, as the arrival of Antonio Conte does not excite him.

The Georgia international is still under the same contract he signed when arriving from Dinamo Batumi in the summer of 2022, so is earning only €1.5m per season.

“Interest from Saudi clubs is not true, but there is interest and an offer from PSG. It all depends on Napoli and De Laurentiis,” Kvara’s agent Mamuka Jugeli told Georgian reporters as quoted by Alfredo Pedullà.

However, this is not about the money, but the increasing frustration that was entirely evident in his performances over the last year.

Kvaratskhelia repeatedly looked irritated when substituted by any of the three coaches in charge of Napoli this season, while he was also annoyed at Serie A defenders figuring out his quirks, repeatedly cutting inside from the left to shoot with his right foot.

Conte does not excite Kvaratskhelia

Now Sports Zone in France report that ‘Kvaradona’ wants to leave Napoli this summer also because he is not remotely excited at the idea of Conte taking over next season.

If used wide in a 3-5-2 formation, then he would be further away from the goal and even more frustrated.

Paris Saint-Germain are seeking a player to fire up the crowd after losing Kylian Mbappé and Kvaratskhelia would fit the bill.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that PSG have proposed €80m to sign Kvaratskhelia, although Napoli may well want more.
