Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was UEFA’s MOTM in Georgia’s 2-0 win over Portugal last night and received Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey after the final whistle: ‘Dreams.’
Kvara’s Georgia made history at the Euros last night as a 2-0 victory against Ronaldo’s Portugal allowed them to qualify for the Round of 16, where they’ll meet Spain.
Kvaratskhelia scored the opening goal in the first half and was named the MOTM by UEFA.
The Napoli ace showed the award and a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey in an Instagram story after the final whistle, writing a simple and meaningful word: ‘Dreams’ and a heart emoji.
In 2013, Kvara was among the children who attended the opening of a football academy in Georgia, inaugurated by Cristiano Ronaldo.
In 2013, Cristiano opened a football academy in Georgia, and one of the children who registered was Kvaratskhelia.
Today, they meet again, and Kvaratskhelia scored in the first minute vs Portugal.
